Ellison attended private dinner with Farrakhan in 2013, contradicting Ellison claims

Had the #2 in the RNC met with David Duke, would the media just ignore it?
Farrakhan is just as hateful and antisemitic as Duke.
If the rnc #2 met with David Duke after lying that he abandoned those beliefs decades ago, it would be huge national scandal and righfully so.
It is FUNDANENTALLY dangerous for a nation when one party can do whatever it wants and not have to worry about journalists keeping them in check.

Politicians meeting with anyone shouldn't be a scandal. Intellectual engagement does not equate sharing the views of said person. Unfortunately in our hyper-PC culture that's not possible.

Honestly, you can't really claim he lied. He stated he doesn't agree with them and changed his ways. Being in a private dinner party where both happen to be doesn't mean shite.
If it did, then those claiming Session's had no reason to recuse himself because he didn't lie about the Russian stuff when he met with the ambassador at an event while a Senator have no leg to stand on.
In both cases, it likely just means they both were invited, where as I have no idea why the Iranian president would invite people from the Nation of Islam to such an event. They are garbage and racist, and claim their own prophet which completely contradicts Islam's teachings.
