There are political stunts and practicality. Whether Democrat or Republican at some point you have to manage these illegal immigrant influxes. Might as well ship them out to locations were they are wanted.

I just left EL PASO, there are tons of those unlabeled white buses everywhere....
Now I know why they are there! Good for them! El Paso is a good little town, and they want to keep it that way!

I’m on the Hidalgo bridge right now and I’ve watched hundreds and hundreds of people being escorted across from Mexico and loaded in buses, Al of them have been from somewhere other than Mexico, Haitians or Africans.

NYC mayor’s staff is trying to make it sound like this is different because the Democrat mayor of El Paso is at least coordinating with NYC. But then at every step, NYC is going “Do they really need to come *here*? Maybe add some stops along the way?”
