I just love the fact that the US could destroy it's economy and go 100% carbon neutral....and not shite would change because we aren't the biggest polluters anymore. Not by a longshot.
See now you are just ignoring the talking points, remember the talking points that the news puts out is the end all be all. Don't think for yourself, come get spoon fed by the headlines.

That means there's an off chance someone with common sense can be put in that spot.
When you say "someone can be put in that spot", are you saying what I think you mean?
You have a long way to go big boy. Don't be too intent at this stage believing you have the answer, or better yet, had someone tell you the answer.
Many us old farts were similarly all in with righteousness in our belief that liberalism had all the answers.

It's amazing that you goobers think a rock that's been here through 4 BILLION years of shite is suddenly going to be destroyed by what will end up being a pimple on the arse of said rock.
We simply aren't that important bruh.
Tell yourself that when you go to bed at night in order to sleep better, but the ability of humanity to shape this planet and impact it very much gives us the ability to completely destroy it or make it more beautiful than we ever imagined.

It's had a shape for 13 billion years and it's spherical.

Oh good god dream weaver. You aren't doing shite to this planet to make it better or worse. Volcanoes and asteroids are the only thing that will change the landscape of this planet.
Your **** arse bottled water commercials won't change shite.

I would love to hear you expound on this opinion.
Could you offer a thumb-nail synopsis of your argument?

You are that proud that you where able to graduate from the University of Alabama at Huntsville?
Christy and McNider are laughing stocks in there own climate science community.
They are the poster children for the 2% of scientists that biasly disagree with man's hand in climate change.
2% of people are going to always disagree with the obvious. 1) The World is flat. 2) Adam and Eve. 3) Lizard Aliens live in tunnels underground.
These are the 2% you hang your hat on for answers? Geez.

If I were suddenly made God Emperor of America, the first thing I would do is order the phase out of coal plants and order hundreds of new nuclear plants to be built. I would then put extra funds into the exploration of nuclear fusion -- something that's being studied heavily in France (with many American scientists). France is set to open the world's first nuclear fusion plant in the 2020's. I would bring that research over here.
So why don't people push nuclear more? For the same reason neither the Reps or Dems want to stop immigration -- they both profit from it. The Repubs have lots of big coal donors and the Dems have lots of environmentalist wacko donors who are opposed vehemently to nuclear (for reasons they themselves don't even understand).
Both sides are fine keeping the ridiculous NRC regulations so that no new nuclear plant will ever be built. Indeed, that was the whole point of the regulations -- to regulate the nuclear industry out of existence. Democrats are very good at doing that sort of thing.
