Do anything to mitigate poverty?
Practice law?
Have a center?

Besides virtue signaling and acusing anything considered 'white America' of being a hate group, what do they do - and who funds them?

Back before Bama was a good law school, Morris Dees graduated with a Bama JD, no job, and no prospects. But he was smart. And he cracked the code of how to turn rich northeastern liberals fear of evil white southerners into cash. Mountains and mountains of cash. And today, his legacy, the SPLC, is a major cultural force these 30 years later or however long it's been. The SPLC's assets are over $300 Million. I would love to know how much Morris is worth.

I had a lady from it speak at a program I attended a couple years ago. I quit listening after she said criminals don't make a conscious choice that leads to entering the criminal justice system.

At least you can point out some things the ACLU has done, but Southern Poverty Law Center is simply a cancer.

It's worth looking into, but SPLC seems to get a lot of grief on this board.

I think they have some SJW groupthink issues, but how many people here know that their Hate Map lists 50% more black separatist organizations than white supremacists? If you assume that the white to black ratio in this country is 4:1 (probably more like 5:1, though), that means they list proportionally 6 times more of a presence for black separatists than white supremacists.

Not arguing that they don't get over the top on white supremacists, but I would be willing to be that our impression of them is more driven by what the media want you to think about them.

They list churches against gay marriage. Sorry, but that's not a hate group necessarily. I'd say places like the Westboro Baptist Church is, but that's hardly the norm.

Morris Dees is a pedo, according to his wife's divorce filing.

Typical evil Leftist scum.

The listed a town in Iowa because they thought some white sups met at a diner there. WTF?

I'm still not sure how a church can justify gay marriage, given the Bible's take on homosexuality.
