The 1953 coup also laid to rest a communist movement in Iran, which is never a bad thing. Sadly, we had Carter in the late 70s, otherwise we might have quietly disposed oh Khomenei in the same manner before anyone ever knew who he was.

See this was good, although the movement to nationalize the oil to take it away from UK companies does not equal a communist movement.
Also point out that we armed them during Reagan's term so any belief that they were seen explicitly as enemies and wanted to depose Khomenei is false.

Please, just stop with this “we’re no better than they are” bullshite. Maybe just stay in your SDS/BLaMtifa meetings and circle jerk all the other guys wearing Che berets.

And this is where you lost traction and devolved into floor licker....

Certain groups need to be surveilled en masse (ie. moslems & marxists)

How exactly does one stop them from surveilling everyone once we start surveilling those you wish to be surveilled?

Some people haven't learned that powers you give the state will eventually used against you.

Lawfare is a prime example. Democrats use this to a T, Reps have the same capabilities, but are too afraid to use it

Libertarians are really just liberals wrapped in some kind of self righteous loin cloth.

The most consequential political time in recent history and they sit on the sidelines throwing handfuls of shite. I have more respect for the purple hair professors.
