hospitals are required to treat people then bill them. They wont collect meaning the hospital will charge off the debt making them raise costs to the other folks who have insurance

Treating them should not be mandatory (except perhaps life-threatening emergency room care), and it should not be government-funded.

Frankly, this is a big reason why we can't afford them any longer. ~50% of recent, "undocumented" (
