2025: As of January 1, 2025, the U.S. herd decreased to 86.7 million head, its lowest level in over 70 years.

It was planned to lower out beef consumption. Global warming.

The droughts were planned?

A blue collar guy has to try to put someone clearly smarter than him down. You’re such a basic psychology study. Your insecurity comes through daily. Tell us again how manly you are. :

Herd sizes are down, thats not debatable. And costs are up. IDK where you're getting your info from but it's wrong.

Well I'm convinced now. Thank you for educating me on the state of the US beef cattle herd and how all of the statistics I've seen are lies. The herd has shrunk over a good number of years and this isn't something that just rebounds overnight where we have a massive jump in production. Good lord.

frick the Democrats

The trade war is hurting ranchers now though

The downturn stems from limited access to China. In March, registrations expired for most U.S. beef plants and cold storage facilities. Since June, China has also suspended 11 additional plants.

As a result, July exports to China collapsed 92% to just 1,110 mt. Value fell even further, dropping 94% to under $8 million. For the first seven months of 2025, shipments to China slid 46% in volume and 47% in value.

Trump creates problem, takes credit for success, then "solves" problem.
