Will this tiny hamlet report its votes at midnight tonight? Or is that only in presidential years? Considering this is a swing senate state, results could be somewhat entertaining.

Ya know, I bet I'm the only person on this board that's actually been to Dixville Notch. I passed through there a few years ago when The Balsams was still open on my way to Pittsburg.

Yes, they will still be voting at midnight and releasing the results within about 3 minutes or so. But Hart's Location does the same thing, and the two hamlets compete with each other to release their results first.

NH, good news for Ernst today, huh? 3 point lead (48-45) in the PPP poll made me breathe a tad bit easier.

Yea it was at 8.26 but that was with all the GOP leaning counties and when Denver/Boulder came in it tightened.

I think Gardner is doing good enough with unaffliated voters to be alright.

I've never been counting Colorado in my total of 51 anyway - winning it would be nice though in case one of the others doesn't come through.

So you're thinking IA, KS, KY, AR, WV, SD, MT, GA, LA in the GOP column and NH, NC, CO, and AK with Dems?

Yeah I can see that. Still think there are some early ballots outstanding in El Paso County which was carried by Buck over Bennet 60-34 or 51,000 votes.

Second hand internal info from a week ago had Gardner +2 in Jefferson County, so if you believe trends and you believe campaigns add a couple points in their internals its basically an even race.

Jeff Co history(true bellwether)
2012 President: Democratic, +4.9 (Democratic +5.4)
2010 Senate: Democratic, +1.7 (Colorado: Democratic, +1.7)
2008 President: Democratic, +9 (Colorado: Democratic, +9)
2008 Senate: Democratic, +10.3 (Colorado: Democratic, +10.3)
2004 Senate: Democratic, +4.8 (Colorado: Democratic, +4.9)
2004 President: Republican, +5.2 (Colorado: Republican, +4.7)

If Gardner can win Jefferson County and turnout is higher in El Paso Co then in Arapahoe Co then it will be a good night.

Those are the statewide totals..so basically Jeff Co mirrors the statewide total.

Same can be said for Larimer County but it gets about half the turnout.

I know some people in Arapahoe and Jefferson Counties. They seem cautiously optimistic for Gardner.

Your knowledge of the state would come in handy for the election night thread..I'm sure there will be late night crunching of numbers.
