If LSD is the impetus behind Bulger’s actions, why wasn’t Jerry Garcia a renown serial killer?

I forget which podcast it was that I listened to a year or two ago about this exact subject but it was a good listen and done in at least two parts if I remember correctly. Husband and wife team and they did their homework.

On one trip, a crazy friend started hunting us in the woods with a rifle. There used to be some awesome woods where the Walmart Market place is on Highland and Lee. At one point, we made it into the apartment at Plantation Trace (trashy evening in the 90s) and he fired the weapon through the door missing my friend’s head by 6 inches. It turns out that he had licked a quarter sheet and went nuts.

LSD probably just makes you more of what you already are. In this case a fricking homicidal maniac.

I’ve seen this theme a lot but does this to anyone else seem completely beside the point?

I doubt you were in the same environment that is being discussed. I may not be quite experienced as you, but, I do know that the experience can be altered by environment. Just read Albert Hofman, the creator of LSD. His book: LSD My Problem Child. Set and setting are important.

I did LSD twice.

The first time I laughed for about 6 hours and then had sex for another six.

The second time I did it, it was a bust. Didn't do shite.

Never tried it again.

Jerry Garcia chose of his own free will to take as much acid as he felt like he could handle, and then he probably played music or ran around with friends, etc. He wasn't unknowingly injected with a massive amount of it against his will and then fricked with by a bunch of doctors and headshrinks. I'm not sure why some of you don't see the difference in that.
