Your “context trap”

That's not what's happening. I'm referring directly to what DeSantis said. No context. Just quotes.

There are really only two possibilities.

1. You have no clue what DeSantis actually said and you're getting your information from some retard on Twitter or Truth Social.

2. You do know what he said, and you're doing your best to avoid admitting that because you know it completely destroys your idiotic assertion.

Either way, I'm happy to just keep you busy if that's your wish.

Now addressing the Trans issue, regarding women’s sports and readiness in the military.
Not going to turn society upside down to accommodate a small minority.
Now onto “climate change”.
Climate politics-how are you going put your fighting forces in a position to win? China is going to burn more coal for it’s military, the US is not going to have electric vehicles.

It will go on for 20 pages and nothing will change. He will answer nothing.

Just ignore him.

Now to the “objective” panel.

I’m biased, but I think that he did well.

On a side note, this is the first time I’ve watched CNN in 25 years. I may break out in hives.

I can live with that. It keeps the thread bumped and the side noise is worth it to keep people like him busy.

I do feel that the more time he gets out in front of the camera, and sells his platform, he’s going to start to really make inroads.
If his strategy of not getting into the mud with Trump pays off, it’s going to be talked about for years in Poli Sci class.

Currently our country is far too gone for that, I think. I admire it but it’s not going to work.

Celebrity, trolling, being entertained is all people care about. Policy is totally irrelevant. Trumps changes regularly and no one cares.

DeSantis has done well of not taking the bait and responding to anything they say early. They want DeSantis to come right at Trump now before the debates.

The DeSantis plan is to first strike at the debates where there can’t be a social media army to defend Trump. The schwerpunkt is going to the on the vaccine, not firing Fauci, and not firing Wray. When Trump defends the vaccine on that stage it’s going to be over.

On what? When has DeSantis directly went after Trump and called him out? He’s only barely done it by hinting at what he would’ve done differently.

On the debate stage he can finally go directly at him and make him answer to what he did or didn’t do

DeSantis has made it clear he will attack Trump on issues but he is staying away from the personal. For Trump it's almost all personal attacks against DeSantis.

He defends it all the time and it’s never mattered. They call themselves pure bloods but just ignore all of Trump’s defenses of vaccines.

They don’t care. He can say he’s going to murder their children and they’d chuckle and say “oh that Trump!”

I think you’re right for the most part but most people haven’t paid attention to Trump outside of the noise about indictments. Someone that voted Trump twice but really hasn’t tuned in for two years will be shocked to hear that Trump is still defending them.

Remember that you mostly engage in talks with hyper-politically aware people online. The amount of Cult45 members in real life is minuscule to their online presence

The fear of a Newsome presidency is going to dawn on the majority of the Party.
