I will say again, i don't think that the Republican Party cares what you or any other member of their "base" really thinks.
I am not sure that the Republican Party exists to win elections, take leadership and implement policy. I think that they are there as sort of a "Potemkin Village" political party that supposedly opposes Leftism (but does NOT, in reality, oppose Leftism).
