the only possible defense is that the decreased and his twin had a history of physically harming / bullying the victim,

otherwise he's spending the rest of his life in prison.

Seems like this would be easy to prove since they don't even go to the same school. They'd mostly run into each other at track meets.

I think this dad is pathetic to claim his son wasn't the aggressor. There is no way I'm buying that his kid was where he shouldn't have been, wasn't the aggressor, and killed someone with a stab to the heart.

Here is the new information, according to CBS:

> Witness says Metcalf was sitting under his school's tent.

> Anthony came over to them.

> Metcalf told Anthony to leave.

> Anthony then grabbed his bag and reached inside, telling Metcalf to "touch me and see what happens," according to the police document.

> No one was aware that Anthony had a weapon.

> One witness says Metcalf touched Anthony and another says he grabbed Anthony.

> Anthony immediately pulled a knife out of the backpack and stabbed Metcalf in the chest.

> Anthony then fled the scene.

> Metcalf grabbed his chest and told his teammates to get help before he passed away in his brother's arms.

> When Anthony was caught by police, an officer said: "I have the alleged suspect," which prompted Anthony to say, "I'm not alleged, I did it."

> Once inside the police cruiser, Anthony asked if Metcalf was ok and asked if what he did would be considered self-defense.

The guy stabbed another person in the heart with a knife. Now, I trust the media as little as the next guy, and I'm absolutely sure they're giddy about making this a black vs white issue, but from what I know of this story, alot of substantial information is missing. Giving the media's penchant for trying to rile up black people against white people, if there were information that pointed to the white kid being the aggressor, we'd all know about it.

They can't risk losing another lawsuit for making a white person out to be a racist when they aren't.

Why did he have a knife at a track meet?

100%
Preach it somewhere else.
That had to be a big knife!

From the pics I saw of Anthony he didn’t have any marks on face or neck. I don’t really care what was said to him. There are no words that justify stabbing someone.

I was a head HS track and cross country coach for 5 years. Been to dozens of track meets just like this. Team tents set up in the stadium and so forth.

Track meets are usually an all day affair. Kids waiting around on their next event or heat. We had friendly visits from other teams’ athletes. Guys liked to flirt with the girls from another school and vice versa. Typical teenage stuff. Usually a coach or team parent was close by.

But you migrate back to your territory. You don’t sit your arse down under a tent like it’s your team’s home. If asked to move, you move and go back to your team’s base.

This boy was looking for a fight.

I don’t know if the other guy was the aggressor or not, but you don’t have the right to use deadly force unless your life is in imminent danger

Most people have been told they were in the wrong seat at some point in their lives. It's not an act of aggression to tell someone that and it's not victimhood to be told that.

He's a piece of shite who murdered someone for the most insignificant reason.

It's not the first time someone murdered someone because they 'felt' disreck'd.

And this surprises you how. We had allowed the victim mentality to explode in this country with zero checks and balances

I know when I attend track meets, I'm packing. You never know when someone will come at you with a javelin and I don't mean the AMC model.
