TBS was actually airing college football games in the 2000s.
He covered the game kept walking up and down the LSU section of fans with his microphone during the 2003 LSU-Arizona matchup in Tucson.

That’s an excellent point. I’d put the blame moreso on owners and league executives though. Players are just being ignorant. I don’t think anyone expects much better out of most of them.
