I thought it was just a vocal minority
also, are they also caving to the renovations inside the stores, and the rainbow rockers, and the other woke shite?
What they need to do is focus on the food quality they neglected in their quest for wokeness. Focus on making the food good again, and the people will come. They will come CB......they will just pull in, not knowing why or how....but they will come.

yeah i stopped going a few years ago. helping sizes were getting tiny and just didn't taste that great anymore.

The new decor was horrible, but flame away, the old "crap on the walls" look has IMO long outlived its expiration date. The CB in my locale literally has not changed one bit of that stuff in the 30-odd years it's been open.

The food was getting iffy before any "wokeness."
IMO the food got iffy because the corporate owners were looking to put fewer resources into it to make more profit.

not enough - fire their POS woke CEO
the problem is that these directives came from the board, who is the KING DEI/Inclusion expert.
In order to fire her, the large stockholders are going to have to remove the board, imo. This could happen too....and should

If tweet fails to load, click here. this is cracker barrel's real problem. microwaved food.Posted on 8/27/25 at 8:22 am to texas tortilla
And that was going on LONG before this idiot became CEO.

your logic is flawed
young people grow up, and many turn loose of their liberal ways once they see a highly unqualified get promoted over them due to DEI. That's a fact.
These people going to Cracker Barrel now were young people when it all started...and there will be many more behind them. There are plenty of conservative young people that eat there...it is just you nut jobs that are "too good" for it.

not really. when do you think they brought in that woke POS on the Board (the main woke one)? It was 2020 I believe...I'm not sure when he (they) hired this woke CEO because I didn't look, but I'm guessing it was around the same time.
The stock price was near 180 back then, 5 years ago. It is mid 50s now. They have also admitted tinkering with the food over the past 4-5 years. So, in a nutshell, they are responsible for the food and the wokeness and the poor performance of the stock.....and I would assume the shareholders would boot all their arse out.

I loved Cracker Barrel back in the day and my tastes are certainly not "too good" for it, but I'm not going to eat s**t food to support any political philosophy or cause. Period. And it's become s**t food and was long before this idiot was CEO.
For breakfast at least I've switched to that high-falutin', high-class place known as Waffle House where I've never had a bad bite of food.

The food was starting to suffer pre-COVID.

Hope you all bought the shares when it dipped. This looks like a genius move by the CEO and the shareholders.

maybe so, but the current board/ceo have acknowledged they were tinkering with the food going back the last several years.

this is fkn stupid. I don't know if you people pushing this are liberals, but this isn't what happened. They have brought in an entirely woke board and ceo over the last several years, and had a hard on supporting F@gs and BLM over that same period. You don't lose 75% of your stock price due to a publicity stunt. In addition, voiding all of these proposed changes will not change the fact that the f@gs still aren't going to eat there, and in the process, you lost base customers that you will never get back.
This is terrible logic by some of you, but I admit, you probably don't know much about markets, capitalism, economics.

more reason to spend resources on getting the food back to where it was, instead of focusing on rainbows and f@gs.

Well they sure screwed it up more ...
Look, it's obvious that Cracker Barrel is special to you, holds memories. And what they just tried to do was idiotic.
But to me it's just a restaurant. It's not a part of the fabric of the American culture. It's a restaurant. Period. And a restaurant exists to put good food on a plate for its customers. Period. No other reason. Everything else except for that one bare fact is just noise.
I used to be a regular customer because the food was good. I haven't been a regular customer in a long time because the food became not good. The last time I went, a few months ago because my Sunday school class insisted on meeting there for a gathering, they could not put two eggs over easy, sausage, grits and biscuits and gravy on a plate in an edible fashion at an acceptable temperature.
And I decided then I was done. And I have no intention of going back, I don't care if they put giant US and MAGA flags on top of the restaurant and along the driveway leading up to it or have drag queens dancing on the tables inside.

Not exactly a great chart, is it?
