Look for church-sponsored activities and local groups for art/music lessons, sports.
My granddaughter is very social, lots of energy. We've had her in a group for about 4 years now where she takes piano, chorus, and drama one day/week. They have recitals twice a year for the music classes, and they do a couple of plays, which are really well done. The group lessons are reasonable, around $105/month total for the 3. You'll stay busy, but it's worth it.

We used the BESE approved method for 8 years.
You get books from the parish school book depository for a $25 per student deposit. - The same books the school uses, or you can get your own books.
Exchange the books for new ones each year (free)
Reapply and send in a simple report showing academic progress and a report card annually to the state (BESE).
We had class as needed, you have the freedom to take a day or week off as you wish, I think there is a 180 day minimum.
My kids sometimes took their tests on Saturday night!
Both of my children finished Algebra 1 and 2 in one year.
For some subjects, PE (Ju Jitsu), Music (Piano), and Art (Painting) we hired tutors.
They worked at their own pace, but we required them to finish the book.
It's easy, really.
There is a lot of wasted time in public schools.
You have to complete the state core requirements to get a diploma that is recognized.
We bought ours.
Both of our children were accepted into colleges, but my son opted to go in the air force at the last minute.
He's a white hat - contractor to the Pentagon, she's a store manager.
ETA:
The greatest benefit, I can't stress this enough, is my children were not subjected to the peer pressure. We never had those teenage fights, they never learned to hate or dislike us from their classmates. You know it happens.

My wife is a former teacher, so we're definitely going the homeschool route for our 3. frick public education.

Home schooled kids can play sports at the local school.

Put our 1st grader in University View online Academy last year. We are pleased and will do it again this year. It is state approved and is fully funded by the Department of Education. The only cost to you is access to the internet. Our experience with UVA was great. We are able to see what our baby is being taught.

You can look up home school convention like this one below to see if if there is any close by . We have found that some Christian schools offer co ops to help you .

If your kids play sports or do extracurricular activities, don't worry about the socialization aspect. If they don't, there are homeschool groups that do park days and other things like that.

We are in Tomball ISD.......no one has said anything officially on masks being worn or not worn this upcoming school year......but the way this shite is playing out...would it surprise anyone if they start this BS again?
I just want us to be prepared if this does come down again on the kids wearing masks at school. If they set that in motion again, I want to be able to pull the kids out and immediately begin their schooling at home with not a worry in the world anymore.
