So I've always been a little concerned about vaccines. I've not had a flu shot in 20 years and have not had the flu. I know some will say that it's because everyone else is getting them but I just distrust the government that much.

If/when a vaccine hits will you take one?

My favorite Aunt just texted since she can't speak currently. Just got back from Dr., has shingles of throat/mouth.

She got the latest and greatest updated vaccination about 8 months ago for shingles.

At this point I'm not sold on vaccines doing a whole lot. Will have to wait and see if DPT makes a come back with the open borders push.

ETA: Since we know most of this stuff comes from Asia can we be sure we're getting the real thing? You trust the "non politicized" FDA and other political bodies to adequately police the viability of the meds we're getting?

Yes.

If anything I am going to start taking the regular flu shot every year too. Corona has taught me that the regular flu kills tens of thousands a year. frick that, I will start taking the shot especially now that I am getting older.

This is not influenza and a vaccine is at the minimum 2 years off.

Merck has a vaccine for the coronavirus. It’s for cattle, but if things get really bad I may try a dose

You should be worried that even if we find a cure we wont be able to produce mass quantities of vacinnes.
