There are plenty of non-mainstream bands that still hold the line out there but mainstream is absolute garbage.

Who are some of those? I am always looking for new rock bands that actually know how to play instruments.

Dirty Honey is one of the few newer "rock" bands I can tolerate. Do you have others?

Easily.

I think movies died in the 90's. Look at how many good films were made in the 90s then cinema fell completely flat.

Video games, Obama, and DEI really did a number on this country.

I don't think video games have had nearly the impact of social media. Hell, we played the crap out of some video games in the 80's and especially the 90's. I guess the online play is new, and unfortunately, that element has a lot of the same issues as social media.

They were great, but if I had to pick a 10 year period of great music, it would still be the mid-60s to mid-70s, and my teen years were in the 80s.

Mid-80s to mid-90s would be 2nd.

Compare those early 90's cops clips to the current cops clips and it's like night and day. The current ones are full of people who've gone their whole life never getting punched in the face for being an arse.

I'll check out Dirt Honey.

And no, as far as "pure rock" goes, I haven't found many newer bands and have almost given up hope altogether.

Most of the newer "hold-the-line" stuff I listen to is hard-core metal, the stuff that scares most people

I've found some entertainment in more unique bands like The Dead South though.
