I guess your young punk arse lacks the maturity to do so.

Old dogs can’t learn new tricks so why bother? You equate Protestants to the clan. Why engage? I mean, the clan? Really?

I did no such thing. Are you an immature dickhead in real life or do you just play one on the internet?
Get back to me when your reading comprehension (and spelling) improves and you can answer a couple of simple questions..
Posted on 4/24/25 at 10:46 pm to 62zip
Why do you care if I spell the clan in the right way? Are you ok? Living in the past?

I don't really care, it just makes you look like an idiot.
Why are you incapable of answering a few simple questions? Back up your bluster.

You clearly do. I am intentionally doing so. You realize that right? You are way off base and way off topic. Why respond to you? You aren’t here for actual discourse. Again, set in your way old man. 62, hm, your grad year or birth year? I’m thinking grad which means you’re older than I thought!

Id like to think you couldn't be that stupid but its tough to tell. You have issues with Scotsmen too?

I'm right on topic, you just either aren't smart enough to see it or too immature to discuss it. Grape juice for Passover? Still insist I'm catholic? Catholics aren't Christians? Anything else?

And now you've succeeded in demonstrating you obviously aren't an L.S.U. fan also.

There really is something wrong with you. Back on topic, ok? You are mucking up the thread with your insanity.

Mucking up the thread by asking questions your either incapable of answering or too cowardly to do so?
Got it.

What questions are you even talking about old man? You have some horrendous hate in your heart. What happened to you?

Catholic Faith, Scripture and Early Church Fathers.

Each topic pulls together all the scriptures and writings related to each topic about the faith.
A very good tool for studying the faith

Not all that Jesus taught could be written down. Therefore the apostles handed down the traditions that jesus taught them, verbally and by the practice of the faith
Yeah, about that. The Bible vigorously disagrees
quote:
Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it
quote:
If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book. God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

So is it salvation by faith alone or salvation by works? Further, where did the invention of Purgatory come from? Where’s the passage in the Bible that speaks of this faux place?

Who cannoized the bible you use? The Catholic Church. Why would the Catholic church cannoize the word of God if it differed from the churches teachings?
Who deleted the 7 deuterocanonical books from the Bible? The Protestants
When was the bible cannonized ? In 382 at the council of Rome
Was the word of God not Jesus? Do you believe that the word of God is only what was in written form? How was the word of God spread for almost 400 years without an official book?
How did the church spread to all corners of the world by the apostles without a book? How did the apostles all form the same church teachings, doctrines and traditions as to the worship of God? I'll tell you. They were taught by Jesus himself and the holy spirit guided them.
Now Protestants come along and thinking they are god in determining what God intended and individually interpreting what was God's word.
Also take into consideration that the majority of the people were illiterate and that the bible was not readily available till recent times, the printing press was not invented till 1440 and it took many more years after that to where it was affordable for the avg man to own a bible which you now arrogantly claim to be an expert on.
For 1500 years the word of God was sacredly preserved by the Catholic Church in both written word and jesus' (God's Word) teachings to the Apostles through apostolic succession.

James 2:14-26 reminds us that true faith is more than belief—it is demonstrated through our actions. Just as a body without a spirit is dead, faith without works is lifeless. Genuine faith moves us to obey God and serve others.
Purgatory scripture
You will find many scriptures here that speak of a place other than heaven and hell. a place where we are purified of the temporal stains of the sins we are forgiven for by jesus. Think of it as you are forgiven by your parents but you still have some punishment.
also you may be forgiven of your sins but none of us die truly pure and nothing unpure may enter into someplace holy like heaven so purgatory is where we are purified. We are made to understand the full nature of our sins and we have to truly be repentant.
What is judgement day if all your sins are already forgiven. what will you be judged on.

Thats because the Catholic Church interrogated, tortured, and killed people that dared question them. Even if they were 100% right about what they were teaching (see Galileo). Thats really not something to gloat about, my friend. Thats just like the saducees and pharisees rejoicing that they got rid of Jesus and his followers, with the help of the Romans
You are only proving that the Roman empire took total control of your church (ya know The Holy Roman Empire), and that the Protestants eventually broke free from their control over Christ's teachings and brought back immersive baptism, tongues, healing, interpretations, etc. All found in the book of the acts of the apostles. The ACTS of the Apostles.

i suspect your referring to the inquistion. A time when muslims had taken over all of spain gone into france, attacked and converted or killed all christians along the mediteranian Sea. Europe as a whole was expelling all muslims and jews from their countries and many were going to spain as a last stop. Then after the french expelled the muslims spain started to as well.
Many pretended to be catholic so the church provided questions to ask as a test to see if they truly were catholic. The church didnt conduct the inquistion as it was mostly the civil authorities. Many abuses did arise from the civil authorities in their enforcement. Just understand, The native people of france and spain had had enough. The muslims had killed, raided their lands for centuries.
As to Galileo, His undoing was his arrogance. Capernicus also theorized heliocentrism, and he maintained his studies as a plausible theory whereas Galileo pushed the political and religious envelopes to his undoing. he was never tortured and was made very comfortable at his home for his home internment.
The Catholic church was always at the forefront of education, science and medicine. they built the first hospitals & universities.
as to the Roman empire taking over the church, All the roman empire did was to make it legal to be a christian. One emperor did convert and he helped facilitate all of the bishops within the catholic church to get better organized and that led to the cannonization of the bible that you use!
As to the breaking free lol let me tell you that the reformation was all about the money and land. For centuries, kings relied on the catholic church to build hospitals , schools, roads and bridges because they were the most educated and could be trusted with the finances.
In return the kings of europe would give the church land to build to build these facilities as well as land to grow crops to support these institutions. When the reformation started,
The kings of europe saw a chance to get all the institutions and land back from the Catholic church and that more than anything is what fueled the reformation. As they say , follow the money. England Germany and other countries confiscated all lands belonging to the catholic church
