It's overly idealistic. Cannot effectively or consistently be implemented. Adherence to its own principles makes it fundamentally incapable of defeating rival political forces that are willing to utilize state power to serve their own ends, thus making it ineffective at actually attaining and holding power. In short, it's not realistic or effective.

Not all conservatives care about the things you mentioned. I certainly don't, and I would argue that evangelicals supporting Trump over Cruze indicates that most Republicans no longer make those priorities either.
