Very interesting how all of this works out. I don't like Delgado at all, He sucks. I'm a pretty poor college student and I'm pretty darn sure I'd be a better councilman than what we have.

How would this property connect B R to the casino?

Isn't the casino over by Gardere lane?

It doesn't. Don't believe what Sprocket posts.

Yes. You continue past Nicholson across the railroad tracks where Gardere hits Nicholson and continue on to River Road. The casino is there. That's got to be a mile or so from the acreage in the OP.

I don't think this property alone would connect it. Its just one step closer. The casino is on river road, as is the 630 acres. They just need more river road property to connect.

I thought LSU's did??

The 630 acres is adjacent to LSU and LSU already "touches" the city limits.

Right, the LSU property does, but that hasn't petitioned to annex.....yet.

Why wouldn't Baton Rouge accept this land? They get the extra property taxes and really don't have to offer any additional services.

Technically they are suppose to patrol it and provide fire service. I'm not sure but I think they are to provide street lighting too.

The city only gets 13.12 mills. Would it be worth it? Probably not.

Isn't it vacant land? Police and fire service isn't an issue here.

I don't know if it is vacant land, but what happens if they develop a subdivision out there in the near future? It really makes no sense to take it in.

ETA, a quick check of a google map does show some homes on the property.

Your bullshite semantic arguments will never make up for your track record on this issue.

You have got to be kidding.

Do you not know what "could" means?

There were at least two other posters in this thread who interpreted your remark ("it could be used to connect to lauberge") to mean you were saying the acreage connected to the casino. They questioned you about it. I replied to one of them to not believe what you posted.

But, it's just me who you singled out for questioning the accuracy of your statement???
