Comey's reason for leaking his memo...

He said something about (not his exact words)...waking up and thinking there might be a tape so he felt that he need to get his memo out to be sure there where no lies...
Well if there is a tape (I don't think there is a tape) then wouldn't it "speak" to the truth of the conversation. An actual tape would tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth, unless of course it was edited. So if he thought there might be a tape what was the need to leak his memo.
To me it seems that he was worried that the tape may not reflect what he said was said so he wanted to get out in front of that and try to make his recollection of the conversation the starting point instead of letting the tape speak for itself.

As a trump supporter I don't give a darn what was said ...
let's get on with the business of running the country ...
this is a joke. Comey was fired and that's that

Unfortunately we don't get to decide and I do not think their is a single solitary media person who will ask, "Now that y'all have dicked around with this bullshite for months, how about doing your fricking jobs?"

Trump said better hope there are no tapes because he knew Comey "leaked"or was going to "leak"

Comey is a mess.
He was obviously a hand maiden for Obama, Holder and Lynch with their shady shite and and didn't get his back up until 5 months ago.
He has no credibility.

Well, you clearly don't remember what he said. He never said he was worried the tape would lie.
He said he hoped there were tapes because that they would corroborate his account of the conversation. That's why he was practically begging Trump to release them if they exist.

I didn't say that he said the tape would lie. He said he was worried about lies, but in the context that that didn't dawn on him until he woke up thinking about tapes. Why would the presence of tapes make him need to leak to prevent lies? The tape would tell the truth. In his context it seems that if he didn't think there were tapes he would not have released his memos. Just seems backwards to me.

No. He said the whole reason he felt the need to make memos in the first place was that he was worried Trump would lie about the nature of their conversations.

He never implied that.

He had already shared the memos with some of the leadership at the FBI, and he would have shared them with any special prosecutor who might be appointed in the future (since none had been at that time).
He gave two reasons for leaking the content of the memos to the press. Firstly, when he realized there might be tapes, he leaked the content of the memos so as to pressure Trump to release them. He said another factor in his decision was that he hoped to prompt the appointment of a special prosecutor.
Transcripts of his testimony are readily available, and his meaning is quite clear.

I thought he meant that Trump's? mentioning of tapes (physical evidence of the meetings) reminded him of his own physical evidence, the memos.
Because you're right, the other way as you described makes no sense.

Comey is on tape. Yesterday's tape. He admitted to a felony ON TAPE yesterday.

Comey leaked because he wasn't willing to go public and say that Trump wasn't being investigated. He was afraid he'd be fired over it and he thought he could get out in front of things by leaking to a press absolutely rabid for anything anti Trump. They took a mundane conversation and turned it into loyalty oaths and felony obstruction.
It's that simple, and it shows just how short sighted and silly Comey is. He paid a price for how he handled HRC, but there is a big difference between playing judge and jury in the midst of an election and setting the record straight as your CIC is being called a traitor by the press.
