During this endless going off air routine, has he ever addressed the whole “my show loses 40 million a year” issue and why he should be exempt from normal business decisions?

frick that dude. The only reason he was on TV to spill his political views was he was being paid by our tax dollars. Get rid of everyone of those late night fools. GOOD RIDDANCE

Colbert is such an insufferable 'look at me!' guy. Singing backup with the legend McCartney is beyond the pale. Johnny Carson and I suspect most wouldn't have tried such a stunt. Even Fallon, who has some level of musical talent, would let the audience take in a performance from Paul, but no. Not Colbert.
Even removing his political takes and vulgarities, Stephen Colbert is a truly miserable person and simply not that funny.
