This is nothing more than a tribute parade to Trump that Trump wants to put on. Will there be tanks and missiles coming down the street like in Moscow and Pyongyang?

See, THIS is the argument y'all who are against the parade should be making
Yup. but logic, objectivity, rationality are not the point. The point is having a reason to hate Trump.

But that's not your first thought or even the second. Your first thought is the emotional aspect. The 'feels'.

What other point is there to a military parade besides the 'feels'. Seriously, is there any other point to it?

Military parades are as American as Veterans day. Our capitol is silly with war monuments. That's something you see all over dictatorships too. Should we tear down the WW2 monument? The Korea War monument?

That's honoring the fallen. It's different.

There's a very wide gulf between "feels" to honor the military vs. "feels" fearing nukes will be dragged down Pennsylvania Av.

Memorial day is for the dead. Veterans day is for the living.

Vietnam monument is all about the fallen. The others are not.

Probably. He’s been pretty successful with his showmanship so far. (Not that I care for it)

This parade idea is symptomatic of Trump being a carnival barking, blowhard, show boater. Not being a declaration of himself a dictator.

The faux outrage is making peopke look silly. Trump criticism is a target-rich environment. This isn’t a good example.

They'll be the biggest, most expensive, and most lavish nukes you have ever seen, truly fabulous!

This parade is nothing more than bait for leftists. They have already predictably gobbled it up, and have gone on record as military hating filth.

They'll never learn.

The French are the only ones in the world outside of authoritarian dictatorships that have these military parades.

And they only do it for Bastille Day, which is practically the biggest holiday in French culture.

I would also add that there are very few tanks and equipment in the Bastille Day parade. It's mostly people marching on foot, riding on horseback and a few flyovers. It's not some Soviet type parade.
