The earth has been around for 4.5 billion years. If we equate that to a 24 hours time period, humans have been here about 4 seconds (1 second if we are talking about man being smart enough to wipe his arse after he shits). So any 'measured' historical statistics regarding climate change is really a bunch of bullshite. Everything has been either hotter, colder, wetter or drier in the past. If we don't know what caused it then, how can we blame mankind now?

Democrats just want to scare people to get votes . And they want to bankrupt us all so we depend on the government to take care of us . If democrats really believe that climate change would kill us all then they would do anything to prevent it . But they only want to spen a lot of the tax payers money to do very little.

What is the record for snow on Yosemite in the middle of May, and when was that?

I think climate change is real. Honestly, I believe that we are in the middle of a shift in the global climate since man started keeping track of such things.

Here's my whole hang up with climate change. As the OP stated, the earth has gone through constant shifts in climate for 4.5 BILLION years. Long, long before the written word. It blows my mind that there are those who would claim the climate shift we're seeing today is 1.) the most dramatic in our planet's history and 2.) man made. You can't measure that. Over fishing along the coasts, cool let's fix it. Pollution? I'm in. Over hunting and/or the destruction of natural habitats for endangered species? Yep, I'll back that one too.

But man influencing climate change? Sorry, I won't bite. There isn't a computer model in existence that can predict the climate 500, 1000, 100,000, or 1 million years ago with any kind of true accuracy. If you can't truly measure it, you can't use it as evidence to support a theory.

The ideal average earth temp is approximately 5 degrees warmer than last century's average, according to sources.

Bring the heat.

As a comparison;
Mammoth has had 12 inches of snow in May.
in 2011: 27.5"
2010: 17.5"
2009: 11.5"
2008: 18"
2005: 25.1"
2003: 24.8"
2002: 15.8"
2000: 11"
1998: 21"

So this is not some kind of freak occurrence for the sierras.

Converting to renewables creates a lot of jobs and is responsible for billions in economic activity. Something has to drive growth of the economy even if it's not real.
