No, I know what a wedding is, or rather was, but a rogue SCOTUS passed legislation from the bench introducing it as a right and so muddied the waters and introduced a new definition.
You tell me.

I don't care what two men do. I care what you force upon others who don't agree with it from a well established religious objection standpoint. I care that our SCOTUS became an unelected legislating body. Why don't you care about religious freedom, or the free market? Why must you force your bigoted views upon religious people who obejct religiously? Why can't you just respect them and leave them be?

Those religious beliefs - and the practice of them - are actually PROTECTED by the Constitution:
"The Free Exercise Clause is the accompanying clause with the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment to the United States Constitution. The Establishment Clause and the Free Exercise Clause together read:
“ Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof..."
My religion is pretty kosher with slavery... why are you assholes oppressing me and my beliefs??? I want to beat one unmercifully, but not quite to death. Nor do I want to knock out a tooth or eye... cause that's a ticket to their freedom.

It can't when an activist SCOTUS rules that marriage is a human right. We were screwed the minute that ruling was made, but everyone on facebook posted rainbow tinted profile pics, so it was cool.

Nothing was stopping anyone from calling themselves married prior to the SCOTUS decision. Regardless, that does not give anyone the right to force others to serve them.

Oh really. Who bestows the "human right to be married" upon all people?
Posted on 12/6/16 at 8:54 am to imjustafatkid
Regardless of anything you say, the 14th Amendment was ratified by all 50 states, so we'll be doing what it says. Hence, marriage is a right available to parties who meet basic qualifications, sex/gender not being one of them.

Ok.
ETA: Oh, I see what you're talking about. Nobody is being forced to serve anyone. Running a business is voluntary. If your religious beliefs prevent you from running a business that is compliant with pertinent laws, you have the right to stop running your business.
