Zero chance. I'd never force a child to buy into nonsense like that.

In the short run, abortion on state ballots could hurt the GOP(pretty much will). But, in the long term, it could remove the issue nationally in ways.
For instance, Ohio has voted on this. In a Presidential election going forward, any smart GOP candidate can easily point that it is an issue left for the state citizens and no one would really have a reason to vote against the candidate if they are a single issue (abortion) voter. The candidate is not a threat to them because they have zero power to change the state law.
This is a HUGE miscalculation. For the Democrats, today is like 1974 for the Republicans: one year out from Roe. You are mistakenly thinking the issue is done at the presidential level, it isn't because of SCOTUS appointments. Dobbs in 2023 is not settled law any more than Roe was in 1974. Just as the Republicans knew in '74 that all it takes is the right SCOTUS mix to overturn Roe the Democrats know Dobbs is just as tenuous. The one issue voters will have just as much if not more impact on the presidential election as it did in the past. Abortion didn't become a big Republican issue until the 80s but it is already front and center now with Democrats and will likely remain so until the pendulum can be pushed back and Dobbs joins Roe in the SCOTUS recycling bin. This issue is not going away.

I knew you didn't have a point, but I thought you'd at least try to explain yourself.
Guess not.

I'm giving you the opportunity to explain your...point.
Posted on 11/8/23 at 1:55 pm to DisplacedBuckeye
I'm giving you the opportunity to figure it out for yourself. Fairly simplistic.

You're falling on your face because you assume I don't already know what point you're trying, and failing, to make.
You've already fricked around. I think you understand that if you actually get into it, you're going to find out.
What do you say, sport? Do you want to find out?

Weird response since you have tried so hard to imply I didn't have a point.

Yeah...that's kind of what failing means...

Well, thank you for demonstrating.

So, it's a no, then? You don't want to find out?

I'm sorry. I stopped paying attention to you a while ago. What are you yammering about, hero?

It's fine, champ. Next time, just start there.

Oh. And here I thought you'd just follow me around and pretend that you could prove me wrong but you just don't have it in you to do so.
Thanks for clearing that up.
