Goodness gracious, Karen (OP), it is UNCONSTITUTIONAL for the State to force a criminal defendant to appear before a jury in a prison uniform.

The judge ruled correctly, and it was not even a close call.

Didn't realize I was lawyering.

I'm just a spectator. I'm not even in Utah.

The lawyers for the bogus Trump trial sure did a fine job of finding the most "neutral" jurors who were instructed to only convict Trump if they could prove whatever "crime" it was that he allegedly covered up, yet they convicted him anyway without ever naming a crime. So I'm sure the high profile Utah attorneys will do just as good of a job too.
