In my 40's and I went to an (almost) all white school in very conservative Alabama with a principal who would be MAGA as frick if still alive.
I don't remember once being asked to do the pledge of allegiance in HS. (Elementary, yes, but not HS).

Other parts of Cary, the West side is more white...but I've been told they have drug problems over there

Our son graduated from Cary High in 2007. It, along with everything else has changed so much..... We moved from Cary to Pittsboro to Bennett. Too many folks moving in and changing the dynamic of the area..... Glad to be in a smaller community with common ideals.......
