And how would the courts compete amongst each other?
I already said that I don't know. Nobody does. Those who Joshjrn linked to earlier have ideas and they may or may not be reasonable but no one knows. However, I'd prefer we try something other than the violent monopoly that runs the protection services now.

Poorly written quiz. Too many questions allowed for misinterpretation or weren't specific enough. And it doesn't differentiate between levels of government. (Zoning, for instance, should be regulated at the local level, IMHO)

This is an anarchist quiz, not a libertarian quiz.

I don't think libertarians care much about parochialism, they view zoning laws a violation of their liberty whether the nation does it or the parish police jury.

It's been a long thread, so I suppose it's worth linking again. Now, to be clear, this isn't meant to have all the answers. I simply know that the concept of private courts is a difficult one to grasp, so having a general outline is helpful:

I scored a 36, I think my views on the military, medicare, social security, and that I didn't think that all govt is evil kept my score low.

117--My main differences were that I do support a government to protect property rights and I don't think granting monopolies to run government is a good idea. Could you have competing police forces? where does their authority arise from? Who enforces judiciary findings?

I think a government to provide common defense and defend property rights is needed and that is a very large charge. Property right protection is a huge task--pollution, theft, murder ect. fail into that protection.

I don't want a government to pick winners and losers in the private operation of government functions.

The government claims a huge chunk of what your labor earns. It claims your land and makes you pay tax on it. Theft is the only way a government can exist in the first place and the idea that it can protect property rights is just silly to me.
