Privatize courts? Privatize the law? Disband military? Vigilante justice?

Exactly. A police force that is incentive driven would be complete bullshite.

G, guide me back to the Ancap light

Boom, folks. That's how it's done.
Gmorgan - crazier than hell, but impossible to dislike.

Funny. I couldn't imagine how privatized law & courts would work well and I don't agree with disbanding the military but I said yes to vigilante justice because I can see where this may become necessary at some point if the government dysfunction continues to increase.

That was one of the last group whereby I could conceptualize a scenario where I might agree, so I said yes.
Also, I read the terms "vigilante justice" broadly.

You new to G's rhetorical method?

No but that was quite a jump even for him

It's not dramatic but I guess I'm not going to convince you otherwise.
Posted on 5/17/14 at 2:14 pm to Gmorgan4982
Not likely. But instead of that rhetoric, why don't you explain to me how it would work?
Posted on 5/17/14 at 2:14 pm to LSUGrrrl
Yeah, a state doesn't threaten to kill people through taxation and states haven't killed more people in the 20th century than any other institution (not including wars) and states haven't sent thousands to die in useless wars. But you're going to respond with "Oh, now you're just being too dramatic!" and everyone else can step in and not make an argument and then you'll at least think you've got me.

Again, instead of that rhetoric, why don't you explain to me how it would work? I'm open to learning.

I'm so confused. I feel like I'm in crazy world.

Again, brilliant.

You're asking to predict how things will work in a future that may not ever exist with technology that I can't even dream of. Imagine telling an 18th century farmer that they won't need slaves to pick cotton in the future because we'll have mechanical robots that operate on ancient tree and dinosaur juice that go into the fields and do the work of thousands of slaves.
