I think Trump figured out that the WH was bugged.
The only way for him to have confidential meetings with foreign, business, and defense leaders without the contents being leaked all over the internet was to have those meetings on the golf course.

I generally don't talk politics either in person. Perhaps I need to. It's hard to find people who aren't so set in their ways that they can concede a simple point though.
