Cool. But it is the one people are making, not the one you made up in the OP. Just wanted to clarify.

No. I specifically stated in my post that you replied to what this all originated with. Stop replying to just one sentence in each of posts.

Which is not the argument you made in the OP.

And I’ll add that the entire Russian collusion narrative started over a year ago with people saying that Trump officials even speaking with Russians was nefarious. That’s how this all began.

It began with intel about Russia meddling. Then questions with Trump campaign started and they started lying and it took off from there.

Yes, while seeking reelection.

Tell me Russian meddling is newsworthy. Then tell me why there were even questions about Trump talking to Russians in the first place. Because there can’t be accusations about lying if there aren’t first accusations of Trump people talking to Russians in the first place.

Then tell why I should take any of it seriously

It is newsworthy.

Because he won.

It doesn't have to be accusations. They can just be questions.

You have already made up your mind. This would be pointless.

One has to wonder why they so vehemently denied talking to any Russians when that doesn't appear to be true.

Gee, it wasn't like they were being hammered every hour on cable news about it

Guilty people deny. That's why. Several of trumps people (Even Sessions) lied about their contacts with Russian government agents. Flynn, Poppadopalus (however you spell his name), Manafort, Jr,Kushner etc, etc, etc. You mark my words, either Jr or Kushner will be indicted next.

That would imply that Russian meddling in every election since WWII has been newsworthy. Which it wasn't. Which makes this nothing more than a political witchhunt

Exactly. There is no media firestorm or investigation if Hillary is elected. Which makes this nothing more than a political witch hunt.

You and I know that every "question" in regards to this collusion narrative was born of accusations because he won the election. There would be no questions if Hillary had one. Not a single one.

quote:

You have already made up your mind. This would be pointless.
I made up my mind a long time ago and I'll tell you why. Then I'll challenge you to try to change my mind.

1. Russia has attempted to influence the American political landscape since WWII and incidentally they aren't the only ones to do so. It has never been a major newstory until Trump won the election.

2. The democrats and the media were openly friendly and in fact supportive of Russia and all of their aims up until the exact day that Trump was elected. See the Russian "reset," the giving up of our missile shield in Poland, Obama's declaration that he would have more flexibility after his reelection and the "1980's called and want their foreign policy back."

Taking all of the above into account, why does the left all of the sudden believe that Russia is a mortal enemy? Is it only because Trump won an election or is it because they truly believe that Russia is a threat? If they are truly a threat then why were they so cozy with the Russian government and Putin prior to the 2016 campaign? If it's because Trump won the election then this is nothing more than a political witch hunt. Either way, the previous handling of Russia and Putin make it impossible for me to take any of these accusations seriously.

I consider it newsworthy.

Then I’ll ask you why do you think it was never newsworthy prior to this?

So you agree that it’s a political witch hunt and not to be taken seriously.

Also do you have a retort to anything else in my post or are you going to continue to just replying to the first sentence of each?
