It must’ve slipped my mind.
Also, why aren’t incoming national security advisors allowed to speak to foriegn ambassadors again?

Hold on, let me find all of the articles from 2008 about Obama's wrongdoing during his candidate elect world tour....

And after someone explains why candidates can't contact foreign governments, can someone explain to me why the President-elect can't contact foreign governments?

I think it depends on if you're selling them Uranium or not.

Flynn lied about talking to the Russians about sanctions.
Not a major deal.
They would dearly love Flynn to say, "President Trump appointed me to work with the Russians to try to fix the election in return for loosening sanctions after the election."
That is the liberal pipe dream.

One has to wonder why they so vehemently denied talking to any Russians when that doesn't appear to be true. Why would they lie about it if it was perfectly legal and above board?

Because Russia illegaly hacked the Podesta emails and offered trumps campaign that info.
What about a foreign government trying to influence an election you think is a positive for America?

We should stop doing this ourselves if we don't want other doing it.
Or, Podesta could not get hacked.

This here folks is exactly what putin loves to hear.
It was even repeated by trump.
Americans are proudly saying we are cheats and as cheats we really have no claim in being the moral leader of the globe.

There's nothing wrong with contacting foreign countries or their representatives. However, when the country that you contact has been found by your country's IC to have interfered with the election; all communication with that country is scrutinized. Furthermore if you lie about that communication to federal authorities, not only is it illegal; it makes it seem like you're hiding something.
These communication could possibly be completely normal and above board, but lying about it feeds the collusion theory by your opponents.

Is being stupid enough to open a phishing email qualify as hacking?

Nope. I just find your indignation odd considering we do the same things all over the globe.
Perhaps we should stop. Surely Russia will stop too, right?
Are you of the opinion that we should continue to meddle in elections and other countries affairs?
This is an interesting debate that I don't expect to have here.

Perfect, let's wait to see what comes from Flynn in the coming days and weeks, and I'm sure we'll be able to make intelligent assessments.

I don't know the legalese around such language but I would certainly consider it stupidity that hackers took advantage of.

Can we stop pretending that anyone is saying it is?

Better yet when the job market is improving, business is picking up, taxes are about to go down and take-home pay up,
how about someone articulate why anyone should give a frick about talking to foreigners.
