Can someone please say what just happened instead of obscure meaningless thread titles?

They voted in favor of Kavanaugh out of Committee but Flake says he wants an FBI investigation before he’s gonna vote on the senate floor for confirmation. They want to delay the floor vote.

Hopefully McConnell has enough votes to confirm without Flake

Flake stated he would vote yes on condition of an investigation, no more than 1 week. Kav advanced to the full senate. It’s up to Mitch now.

It was a gentleman’s agreement. They can say f u flake we have the votes w/o you.

Flake said he wants to wait a week but voted to advance it out of the committee where he no longer has control over what happens.


Basically he voted the way we wanted by gave lip service to the Dems.

Can’t Pence be the substitute for flake? Collins and Murkowski have shown no signs of retiring from senate like Flake. If they vote no, their political careers are over. Also, this puts red state dems in a precarious position.
