My point is that no matter who the president is going forward, if they are a Democrat, then they will abuse EO's.
As such, while I don't approve of this as a tactic...for the reasons that you mentioned, I understand that the circumstances have changed and that this is the new normal. There needs to be systematic changes. Perhaps Trump can implore Congress to do so...after he has taken advantage of the Dems strategy.

I mean, would you not use a mugger's weapon against them if you were to wrestle it away while defending yourself? I get that, ideally there would legislation and enforcement to not allow muggers to operate. However, until a global utopia is achieved, you are forced to live in the real world.

Why? The basic function of the military is to protect and defend American lives. The military builds walls and barriers in the foreign nations it fights in. Why isn’t it an an appropriate use of military funds to build one at a border with documented incidents of Isis-connected individuals trying to cross?

I'm not some melting liberal, just a middle of the road voter. I just do not like taking money away from our men and women of the military.

Do you think the government of Mexico is going to write a check payable to the Treasury?

Get off of it dipshit. This is talking about $.25 out of a $1000 budget.

The most fundamental thing our government can do is protect our borders. Period.

Not fighting against weird brown people in the middle east who stone their women and throw figs off of buildings.

his presidency is over? when did this happen? link?

if we as taxpayers are paying for it
how do you know mexico won't ULTIMATELY pay for it?

I don't think its outrageous for me to have questions
this is a stupid issue to have questions about, regardless of any campaign promises. the border needs to be secured. i couldn't care less who pays for it but, it sure would be icing on the cake if trump somehow manages to get funds from mexico that can be applied to it.

if this is your biggest problem with trump, then you're just being silly

I assume you were/are looking for that Publishers Clearinghouse giant check photo op?
Mexico will clearly be paying a significant price for this wall.

can I now assume this board is ok with Presidents (current AND future ones) using executive orders to side step Congress and do what they want?
depends on what they're being used for

to implement liberal/progressive policies that harm america? no.

to enact common sense legislation that is being stymied by the establishment politicians. hell yes. absolutely

but do you support an eo that is trying to increase border security with a proven solution that will alleviate the crisis at the border because congress is too stupid to get it done? you can't seriously oppose this

el paso officials are on record citing a reduction in illegal border crossing/crime statistics since their section of the wall went up
