I keep hearing this line and it's the biggest crock of shite. Chinese scientists are not stupid. And a Level 4 whatever lab is definitely not that stupid. It's a fricking cover for an intentional leak. I can't imagine anyone smart enough to work on that virus didn't know basic safety measures. This whole thing was a game.

Explain this for me: the heavy narrative here for quite a while - and maybe still is today for many - was that China has grossly under-reported the total numbers of COVID-19 cases and deaths in their own country.

So your position is, that China not only accidentally released a deadly virus on their own people, but in fact deliberately released it, to the detriment and death of untold thousands of their own citizens, before it spread across the globe. To the substantial impact to their country's economy, which was already destabilized from the tariff war with the U.S.

What would be the objective of this for China? What is this specific game you speak of?

quote:

The U.S. State Department sent two cables warning of “safety issues” at a virology lab in Wuhan, China, in 2018. That lab was studying bat coronaviruses.

Those cables, obtained by the Washington Post’s Josh Rogin, warned specifically that there were too few trained technicians and safety measures in place for the type of research that was being done and that the type of research conducted at the lab — transmissibility of bat-carried viruses to humans — posed a risk as well.

My question is what did the Chinese do once it leaked out.

Specifically, did they try and prevent the spread of the virus internationally?

What if the official Chinese Government had little to do with it? What if there is a group of behind the curtains people who have no allegiance to any nation state and only to their own goal of global domination? What if that group of people numbered in the 100s or even 1000-5000. What the hell could the leader of China do except stay in his lane and accept whatever concessions they make to keep him and his oligarchy in their good graces. Do you think a communist or socialist leader would give one shite about the economy or the common people?
