They should have should have let her come out or waited him out. cut off power, water, etc. This completely lacked any common sense strategy.

The boyfriend had already shot a cop, correct

all of you are completely missing the point. they didn't have to go in at all, knock or no knock. the vast majority of all warrants like this they just wait and catch the perp while he's moving around. they knew Breonna was in there. Just bc the thug fired doesn't mean they had to barge in just to prove how badass they are. They should have should have let her come out or waited him out. cut off power, water, etc. This completely lacked any common sense strategy.

First of all, the BF fired first and hit an officer in the leg - or else there would've been no shooting at all and a peaceful warrant served.

Second, warrants are served all day every day across this country. There's a tiny fraction where the perp is waited out and caught entering/exiting the premises.

These are rare because often the wait can last hours or even days, the officers can be spotted while waiting very easily, or the warrant is an attempt to gather evidence from the premises as well as make an arrest. Waiting gives the perp a chance to be tipped off and potentially destroy evidence, make an attempt to sneak out, or arm and barricade themselves inside in preparation.

You strike me as someone with VERY LITTLE knowledge of anything outside your little bubble of rainbows and gumdrops. In essence, you are clueless about the real world for someone that espouses "common sense."

It was not an arrest warrant dumbass. It was a search warrant.
