If a hypothetical farmer got say $67,000 in subsidy from the Federal government but paid $143,480 in Federal income taxes would he still be a leach? Or would the person paying $0 in Federal taxes but receiving $5000 in Earned Income Tax Credit be the bigger leach? Theoretically of course.

1) Go live overseas for a couple of years.

2) Buy groceries.

3) Get back to us with a cost/quality/choice analysis.

We’ll wait.

(Or, maybe it’s better to you for the people who spend the highest portion of their income on food to pay more.)

Total bullshite !

You are probably one of the dumbest posters I have ever come across on any message board.

You constantly spout crap that isn't true.

Why don't you do research before spouting off ?

Good father's teach their children to never spout without proof.

Are you another one of the Liberal momma's boys we have on this board ?

Agriculture is one of the most concentrated sectors of the US economy. As tens of thousands of independent family farmers have gone out of business in the last few decades, their land and operations have been bought up by ever-larger farms. Today there are 70 percent fewer hog farmers than in the mid-1990s, while just four companies control two-thirds of hog slaughter. Nearly 17,000 cattle ranchers have gone out of business each year since 1980; 85 percent of the beef market is now controlled by the top four meatpackers. Trends are similar across agriculture: the top four companies in each industry control 85 percent of the corn seed market, 90 percent of grain trading, and 63 percent of food retail.

Wow, how do those owners of those large businesses run those farms or ranches all by themselves?

They should probably hire farmers and ranchers to help them do all that work...

Would you be willing to tell us what would happen if illegal farm labor disappeared?

California would be screwed...We really need to get rid of illegals.
