Our wonderful Senate passed a shite bill on the last day of the session that allows Secretary of State Ardoin to spend $100,000,000 on those dam corrupt Dominion machines. Thank Senator Sharon Hewitt for dragging this bill up.

The corruption is overwhelming. They want these new Chinese Dominion machines ready to go for 2022.

Call the governor and tell him what you think about SB221. Hell he's probably waiting on it.

Yes, especially after everything that was just done only a few months ago to stop Secretary of state Ardoin from taking bids.

It was good bill.

It originally said that the experts hired to examine three voting equipment had to be independent, now the hurray have to be certified by Secretary of State Ardoin. So hell pencil whip that, no problem.

It does little to keep foreign owned equipment out and actually allows wholly foreign owned companies to win the $100M contract. So it pretends to prohibit foreign involvement but not really.

It does limit access to voting machines during elections but the exceptions are so broad that any access could be justified. Again, state doesn't have software code or hardware schematics so you can't confirm any of it anyway.

But the bill does make our vote of record paper that is verifiable and auditable. And no internet. I don't know on this one.

Good outweigh the bad here?

We already are Georgia, if not worse

The last thing Louisiana needs to do is buy $100 million worth of Dominion machines. The state is corrupt and shitty enough as it is.

Hey, call the governor. Its not law yet. I thought it would be a good thing to have some parts in the bill but looking at the overall, hell no. That's why I made this topic.

I think we get this vetoed and keep what we have until next session. In the meantime we protest the hell out of any attempt by SoS Ardoin to hold bids on machines.

Hold the line y'all

Democrats already cheat in New Orleans and Baton Rouge for elections. It won't make a difference. Buying Dominion machines is just a slap in the face.

I'm sure the SoS will have that box checked before the machines arrive

Slip this through when few are paying attention.

That has been the plan all along after people made a stink about it previously.

Remember the women's club meeting with Ardoin?

frick all these dickbags.

The only thing the bill shows is removing strict electronic voting system to a broader definition.

It gives equipment inspection and oversight to the SoS. He certifies.

Line 28 PG 12 says voting systems vendors can be wholly foreign owned, they just have to disclose it. There's you're black box slip in.

It also says the commission can protest anything done outside of their recommendation and it's automatically over. The current law already has him certifying. Literally nothing really changed other than squeaky wheels cried so they pretended to address it.

If you still trust commissions then we have a serious disagreement. The point of the crying squeaky wheels, as you put it, was that foreign involvement in any way was a hard no and needed to be law.

You said they haven't addressed it. So that's why I've asked this to be vetoed. Nothing changed, only got reaffirmed. What's your comments about?
