I guess that explains why they've never left to go anywhere else. I've had the same bar staff for the last three years at two of the bars

No telling what kind of hypocrisy he's trying to hide

Wow, I wonder what Nancy Pelosi would say about a dollar and eighty seven cents.

I pay $1.87 more than minimum wage.

Dude I'm not trying to be rude at all but you are not near as smart as you think you are. Your idiotic bravado stems from a place that has no merit.

I just showed you that I pay more than minimum wage and you have failed in every possible way to show me how minimum wage has hurt the majority of the bottom 30% of the workforce in any of the 22 times it was raised.

For people who tip it would be exactly the same. Nice try though. Also, I'm not in a hole at all. No one has shown me how the 22 times minimum wage has been raised that it is hurt the bottom 30% of the workforce other than showing some people lost their jobs. Of course they don't want to mention the over 90% of that bottom 30% that's lives were made better.

Are you seriously arguing that 10% of a given workforce losing their job (and thus 15000 in income) is worth it so the rest of the workers can receive a marginal raise in their pay (eaten up by higher prices?)

I thought you said minimum wage gets people off the dole? Making someone unemployable is a sure way to put them ON the dole.

Go to your local bar and ask them how much they make

He probably takes it out of their checks, and charges them housing for his dungeon space

I'd like to know why you people think I should pay a higher percentage of taxes than someone who makes less money. I don't care about emotions and I don't care about being forced to help other people.

I think it should be an equal percentage. Rich people of course would pay more because they have more

Pass. That's trashy.

I just think your attitude about paying your employees $4/hour is amusing.

I bet he pays cash to the illegals so he can avoid his required Medicare and SS contributions.

Taxes are not supposed to be a form of redistribution. By thinking that they are, you have just revealed your hand.

Trickle down isn't a working theory. It's called supply side economics. If you lower tax rates, richest people will reintroduce money that is outside of the tax system back into the system. That money will raise government revenue, which is THE WHOLE POINT OF TAXES.

By the way, it just happened. Trump's tax cut resulted in the most revenue the federal government has ever received in the month of January.

Income tax isn't a redistribution scheme, or it isn't supposed to be.

The Left wants taxes to redistribute income. Tax the rich a lot, pass that income directly on to the poor. By that measure, "trickle down" doesn't work in their minds.

Get some Thomas Sowell in your life.

Here you go

quote:

How do we summarize this evidence? Many studies over the years find that higher minimum wages reduce employment of teens and low-skilled workers more generally. Recent exceptions that find no employment effects typically use a particular version of estimation methods with close geographic controls that may obscure job losses. Recent research using a wider variety of methods to address the problem of comparison states tends to confirm earlier findings of job loss. Coupled with critiques of the methods that generate little evidence of job loss, the overall body of recent evidence suggests that the most credible conclusion is a higher minimum wage results in some job loss for the least-skilled workers—with possibly larger adverse effects than earlier research suggested.

I wouldn't be shocked. He makes his employees beg customers to even make the national min wage
