No they arent. In fact their economy may be more free than ours.
Do you understand what socialism entails?
Oh you're getting tripped up by thinking socialism as a blanket practice.
Here:
"The welfare state is a concept of government in which the state plays a key role in the protection and promotion of the social and economic well-being of its citizens. It is based on the principles of equality of opportunity, equitable distribution of wealth, and public responsibility for those unable to avail themselves of the minimal provisions for a good life. The general term may cover a variety of forms of economic and social organization.[1] The sociologist T.H. Marshall described the modern welfare state as a distinctive combination of democracy, welfare, and capitalism.[2]"
They combine this with free market capitalism. I would love to switch and maybe we can agree on that.

Yeah well bartenders make $2.13 an hour everywhere else in this town. Also, that's the service industry. They make money from tips.

No, but I know their minimum wage is set lower, by law.
But you can choose to pay them more.
Are you going to counter that the customer is absorbing the costs? Your hole will get deeper.

I used to bartend when I was younger. These kids make good money. One of my managers claims over $4,000 a month.

I'd like to know why you people think I should pay a higher percentage of taxes than someone who makes less money. I don't care about emotions and I don't care about being forced to help other people.

Do you think this is some sort of gotcha moment?? Lulz. You know the minimum wage for servers hasn't been raised in a really long time either but I went ahead and raised it for my employees.
Would you like there to be no tips and just more expensive drinks?
Posted on 2/24/18 at 6:48 pm to Ebbandflow
Why don't you practice what you preach? Why do you pay such low wages?
"Do as I say and not as I do"
you are the gift that keeps on giving.

So you are making those poor people tip because you are a chintzy liberal? You are anti-consumer and pay slave wages.
Are your employees on Obamacare, too? You are pure trash.

Oh wow! One guy makes 4K a month
You're advocating for raising the min wage, claiming it's better for everyone and your paying poof schmucks $4 an hour

I have chosen to pay them more. Minimum wage is $2.13 and I pay them $4.

For people who tip it would be exactly the same. Nice try though. Also, I'm not in a hole at all. No one has shown me how the 22 times minimum wage has been raised that it is hurt the bottom 30% of the workforce other than showing some people lost their jobs. Of course they don't want to mention the over 90% of that bottom 30% that's lives were made better.

And likely has a bunch of illegals in the back because he won't pay white people 15 dollars an hour to wash dishes.
