You don’t get to decide what’s being implied by someone else. Besides, I specifically said it’s not all on the Turnip. Try to keep up

this has already been covered.

Yes, it has many times. "Energy independence" simply means exporting more o&g than you import. Exporting oil was prohibited since the 70s until 2014. We've been trending towards exporting as much as we import since then.

But few seem to want to accept that. They seem to want to believe that "energy independence" means we only use domestic o&g supply.

If energy independence was Obama’s goal, why TF was he using EO after EO to stop drilling and fracking? Why isn’t Biden’s stated goal oil independence? Why are dems running on regulating O&G into oblivion and propping up green energy?

This “trend” happened in spite of him... off of historic oil shale plays in process before Obama was the flavor of the month.

Stop embarrassing yourself. Or don’t. I really dgaf

Agree. This stopped being a debate and has turned into an odd Biden devotion melt. There's nothing that could be said or expressed on this board that will convince the hardliners that their chosen leaders are anything less than gifts from heaven. This was a waste of time.

If energy independence was Obama’s goal

It wasn't.

His goal was to extend the wind and solar tax credits, and other environmental regs. Lifting the export ban was a compromise.

WASHINGTON—In a move considered unthinkable even a few months ago, congressional leaders have agreed to lift the nation’s 40-year-old ban on oil exports, a historic action that reflects political and economic shifts driven by a boom in U.S. oil drilling.

The measure allowing oil exports is at the center of a deal congressional leaders announced early Wednesday on spending and tax legislation. Both the House and Senate still must pass it and President Barack Obama must sign it into law.

The deal would lift the ban, a priority for Republicans and the oil industry, and at the same time adopt environmental and renewable measures that Democrats sought. These include extending and then phasing down wind and solar-tax credits; reauthorizing for three years a conservation fund; and excluding any measures that block major Obama administration environmental regulations.

It’s not just Biden. The Lefts assault on capital investors has really hurt the industry.

The fact that President Muppet still refuses to talk about domestic energy production is crazy. I don't care what's coming down the pipe with renewables and clean energy, that shite ain't happening anytime soon. So why not encourage us to get every drop we can, while still working on the other stuff? He seriously cannot be this dumb.

It's like starving yourself because you want steak and shrimp every night but can only afford beans and rice.

Amen bro,

Mike Dean - 7 & 7 - Blue Moon Saloon, Lafayette

https://www.songlyrics.com/mike-dean/7-and-7-lyrics/
quote:

Early in the morning
I get up and leave your side
I throw my bag on that chopper
We take off and we fly
Miles out into the Gulf of Mexico
Right over that line where the brown water turns blue

Intro(x2)

The guys out here joke about Jody
And how he got my girl and gone
But they don't know us
Nah they don't know nothing about trust
So 7-6-5-4-3-2-1
And the chopper touches down
Throw my bag back in my truck
And I'm your arms bound

Chorus:

7 days home
7 days gone
I'm just thinking about you
On this production platform

Intro x2

Mark, our crane operator
He had tears in his eyes today
He just stood up on the heliport
Kinda looking out at the waves
He said he missed his baby girl
He only got to see for a couple days
I said we're almost home buddy Mama's got her
And a smile went across his face

7 days home
7 days gone
I'm just thinking about you
On this production platform

Intro x2

Well this oilfield career
It's sure been good to my family
They're the ones I think about
When it comes time to leave
One day I'll retire
And my feet won't leave the land
Until then I got to make a living
I'm a Louisiana man

Intro x2

7 days home
7 days gone
I'm just thinking about you
On this production platform

7 days home
7 days gone

Caveat: I'm not an oilfield baw, but most of my friends are including both of my brothers and my pops, and lost my youngest brother and best ever hunting / fishing padnuh to a fatal oilfield accident in Africa - changed my life for the worse more than you could think possible. My paw paw was an offshore rig pioneer back in the 50's and later worked as a guager on a crew boat in Lafitte for 30+ years for Chevron.

Not nearly enough credit ever given for the hard work oilfield baw's put in for their families. fricking bitch union pussies up north in yankee land have no idea what real work is about.

High gas prices is intentional. It’s all intentional. They want green energy that doesn’t exist yet. They also believe it will never exist until there is no other option. Plus they prefer we not have our own cars anyway.

I’ve said this for years.

Wall us off, shut the borders, we have everything we need here, but we are whored out by so many corrupt politics in bed with foreign leaders.
