So, a review of the transcript says Biden was correct, and Castro was misrepresenting Biden’s earlier statement.

Did Castro shoot himself in the foot by being wrong and acting like an arse to an old guy?

I don't know but if Biden outsmarts you in a debate, it's time to start looking for the emergency exit.

Castro came across as quite the A-hole tonight. He is the only one that truly lost.

I think Castro understood that he is toast absent a homer, so he swung for the fences ... and whiffed.

I think it will linger, not in a good way for Castro.

Emanuel called it a "disqualifier" for Castro.

Apparently he thought Candy Crowley would be there to save him.

Fidel Castro has a better chance of winning the Democrat Party nomination than Juan Castro does, and Fidel was a non-American citizen who's been dead for almost a decade.

In other words, who cares?

Julian.

Honest question, 86. If you could have any politician elected President in 2020, who would you want?

Just asking, because your political standing is about as clear as mud.

For President? Setting aside electability?

Either Rand Paul or Ted Cruz. I would probably take Rand so I could put Cruz on SCOTUS.

But I disagree about your mud assertion. I am solidly in libertarian orthodoxy on all issues but one. I am a BIT hawkish for a libertarian ideologue.

Dead man walking.
He will not be in November debate.
He already qualified for October.

Okay. But I'm just saying, and not trying to start shite, but your postings here have never given me the idea that you would like either one. Especially Cruz.

Paul and Cruz are my two favorites after Trump, too.

Are you pro-life?

If you mean an absolute prohibitionist, absolutely not. Libertarians are pro-Choice about 67:33, and I would cut-off elective abortion at about 16 weeks .. open to discussing as early as 12. Most libertarians would go 20-24 weeks.

My disagreements with Cruz are on social issues, but I trust him to be a textualist, if he were appointed SCOTUS. so his opposition to most abortions is not a deal-killer for me. His Constitutional analysis is far more important.

I do not waste time with “me too” posts where I agree with the majority. Boring. Plus those posts that I do make get ignored or accused of being lies.

So you mostly see posts on topics where I am in the distinct minority.

Plus I am a 35 year GOP voter, and I loathe Donald Trump as a opportunistic, populist demagogue with no ideological center whatsoever.

Interesting. Funny that you and I agree on Paul & Cruz. Just like you, I would prefer Rand in the White House & Cruz on the Supreme Court. When it comes to foreign policy, Cruz has neocon tendencies. I don't care for that.

Obviously, where you and I disagree the most is with regards to Trump. I think Trump is almost perfect for his time, because we need a true outsider who will at least TRY to dismantle the Deep State. Plus, Trump's business prowess is serving him well. He's right about China eating our lunch, too.

Let me ask you this. Do you believe that there is a real menace to America often referred to as the Deep State, or do you tend to roll your eyes at the mention of the term?
