He also says "no more copayments, deducitles, premiums"......yet medicare DOES have all three of those things.
What he is advocating for is not medicare for all, in that sense.
Medicare retains at least some semblance of utilization fees, his plan does not. No matter how much healthcare you use, you will end up paying the same...under his system.
Politically speaking, if Bernie convinces americans that his plan means no more of those three things, yet the plan itself is just an extension of medicare to everyone, and thus DOES include those three things, he will be hurt politically because people will think they have this cool new free insurance, only to discover 20% copayments, monthly premiums, and deductible.

$135.50+ Part B premium
$100+ premium for comprehensive supplement
$14+ Part D premium in addition to drug costs
What Bernie and the Dems want is Medicaid for all.

Medicare for All! Healthcare for Few!
If Bernie gets his way, we'll all have a nice Medicare card in our pocket.......Good luck getting anybody to take it for their services or products.

Really it will be Medicaid for those that want to be in the “public option” government run, healthy care system. I guess people with a lot of money will maintain private insurance but poor, shite bird capitalists like me will be assigned a primary care, government employed doctor. Along with a bunch of other shite bird capitalists, I’ll share that same primary care doctor. We won’t have to pay for the doctor visit or any treatments needed from said visit. But tax dollars will obviously pay for it. That’s how I understand it all in my high school educated, blue collar world.

It isn’t actually “Medicare” for all. That word just polls better. What he is proposing is government run healthcare for all. And it would be a fricking disaster
