Barbara Lagoa will be the new SC justice!

To me it is a slam dunk politically.
1 She is legally qualified. She graduated from a top 10 law school, columbia. She served in the Florida supreme court for 13 years and the 2nd highest federal court for a year.
2. Political. She is a Hispanic woman from Florida. A state and a group that Trump needs.
3. It makes it harder to attack her. Not just her ethnicity but she was approved by the senate for her circuit court appointment by an 80-15 vote. Among those 80 were 25 democrats. Are those 25 democrat senators going to now just a year later say she is not qualified?

For those who did not hear Trump in his rally last night said he will definitely choose a woman.
Conan Barrett one of the top contenders will be portrayed by democrats as a religious nut who wants to take away a woman's right to choose. Lagoa will not be as easy to attack that way.

I don't think it will be her because she hasn't been vetted as much as Amy and she also hasn't been interviewed by Trump (Amy has). They need someone who can be pushed through the process as fast as possible because Democrats are going to throw everything including the kitchen sink to try to delay and derail it.

I say don’t pick someone solely because you think the dems can’t mount a defense. We may not be happy with her decisions 10 years from now. Maybe she’s like Roberts.

Hilarious because she’s on record saying her issue with Roe is federal funding. She’s said the only way she’d change it is in that regard. Now maybe that’s BS but that’s what her official statements are on it.

Kavanaugh was confirmed to the DC Court of appeals with a 96-3 vote.

Lagoa doesn't have enough of a record. And she better have been a perfect angel since she was 2. Not sure she clears both those hurdles.

Are you a libtard? Your thinking is not as refined as a libtard.
Believe it or not Lagoa could be just as anti abortion as CB is. She is also catholic. They just might not be able to tie her to that single issue as easy. Evangelicals have expressed thier love for CB which might make it harder to get her approved.
