First off big government IS corrupt.
That didn’t stop under Trump. Like all politicians they say what they need to get support but what they really do is something much different.
Bannon was one of a bunch of Goldman Sachs alumni in the Trump administration . This article from 2017 lays out who the initial Goldman Sachs folks in the Trump administration were. LINK
Jared Kushner’s family has a long history with Goldman Sachs and he was involved in a real estate deal largely financed by GS when he came into the White House. Kushner and Goldman Sachs
Now to me the absolutely most corrupt thing was the trade war. I pointed out numerous times here that after reading and studying the actually documents of the trade representative that the trade war was about ending forced partnerships in China—and it was.
it was Kushner and GS alumni Mnuchin that did the phase 1 deal with China. Navarro rages about this in his book. The biggest thing in the phase 1 deal—-China agreed to loosen forced partnership requirements on US banks investing in China. That deal has enabled the Chinese to receive hundreds of billions of investments from big US banks like Goldman Sachs and Chase.

It is what it is.

All the hatred and vitriol cast at Trump will be transferred to DeSantis the minute he ever wins the nomination.
He would have the support of the GOPe but as we have seen in the last 4 elections, that doesn't mean much of anything.
MSM and Dems control the message (social media and legacy media) and methods (mass mail in voting) and will continue to win at the federal level regardless of who is on the Republican ballot until those 2 issues are addressed.

MAGA is a very minority, splinter group of the GOP with very few actual candidates in federal office.
