But do they know better, and how to actually accomplish it?? I really do think thats one of our biggest issues. People want to keep up with the "Jones," but dont know what it takes to get there and sustain it. The "instant rich" phenomena. The "kids reared by kids" phenomena. To many that were never taught or experienced the true foundation of how this nation was built, and still measure ourselves by.
We lack decorum in this country, and it's celebrated. If someone doesnt approve they are a racist yadda yadda yadda, not that it's trashy.
Conservatives need to figure out how to start to focus on social issues properly, and not just fiscal. Liberals have focused heavily on social moreso than fiscal, and they have chipped away chunks. Fiscal is a way easier fix than social issues. we need to stop the normalization of sin to make us feel better about our private lives.

You are absolutely correct. Republicans still talk about Reagan for goodness sakes! They need to develop a modern message to counter all the new wacky shite the dems come up with. I've written my senators and representative about this. From their responses, I don't think the "get it".
