Never been a deterrent.

That's as folderol as the death penalty being a deterrent to serial killers.

Criminals gonna criminal.

And low level criminals only see as far as their next day or payday.

Violent criminals have no problem doing hard time and most are crazy or dumb enough to think they'll never be caught.

Scared straight programs and the like don't work...because you're trying to apply normal people brains, conscious and fears onto not normal criminals.

Looks like jaywalking right in front of police was allowed. Why have different rules for different people?

Nah, read the sign. The street is closed.

Harrison is not a bad police chief. He was crazy to take that job in Baltimore. The politicians in that city are WOKE AF. Black criminality is tolerated and accepted by the courts and by the enforcement decisions being made out of the mayor’s office.

The police are hamstrung and the criminals know it.

I dunno. Care to hand us some crime stats, chief? Just do one city. Say...Baltimore.

And, go.

Because the police can’t protect them. There is also a lot of distrust from the past arse whippings that took place from police to perp. Baltimore is broken and the police need to change their approach before the citizens trust again but it takes work and proactive personal approach to policing.

This is a BS response. Any major crime ridden city has the same issues. Distrust for the organizations should be based on actually criminal acts(money laundering, stealing evidence and money). Excessive force is BS excuse. Show me the facts that support it. After Rodney King, departments have changed.

It’s a gang and hood mentality. Don’t ask, don’t tell. The citizens will watch their loved ones get killed and not turn the criminals in.

No they don’t.

But, look at the top 100 murderous cities. Which race is the highest?
