I've had both happen.
One year we had to take off every other Monday for six pay periods (ours are bi-weekly). We never got paid for those.
The rest of the time, we always got paid back.

I'm a contractor at a GOCO. We are already funded for the FY so I won't miss a pay check. Will be nice not having all the government field office personnel getting in the way though.

The last time we (Army civilian) were furloughed in 2013, we were not paid for the days we were off. Fortunately we are not part of this. I would be willing to give up a day or so to get the wall, but it shouldn't come to this

It’s a great idea...... a large number of contractors will still be working there just won’t be any oversight from the government! And the ones that ain’t working will get an equitable adjustment for schedule delays and all sorts of things that make them happy.....nothin like a chaotic customer with unlimited money!!!!

I’m a retired FedGov Leo. We were required to work and were paid. Our support staff were furloughed and they were still paid. They basically got a free vacation while we had to do their damned paperwork and physically run the office.
