No. I see the writing on the wall. Israel is in a race against time against Iran. Not because of the nuclear threat. But because of Iran's missile capabilities. If Israel can't take out their missile launchers quickly they're in for a prolonged war.
Trump isn't some righteous person that will do the right thing for the reasons you think. But he won't back a loser. And since we're on Israel's side we won't allow them to lose. So either Israel neuters Iranian missile capabilities or we get dragged into this.

So... you're telling me one has to win, one has to lose. Which one would you, personally, rather see neutered? And why?

Ideally Israel successfully takes out Iranian missile sites quickly and can put an end to the back and forth. That's the scenario where the fewest people die. If that doesn't happen then they'll keep exchanging blows and innocent people on both sides die.

There is no real winner here. Everyone loses thanks to Israel starting an avoidable war. If we're lucky the only thing we lose is billions in supporting them. That is the absolute best case scenario. We lose no matter what thanks to Israel. You don't seem to understand this. It's just to what extent we lose to assure that they win.

They have expansionist ambitions. I don't think it will work. This was will not benefit Israel even if they "win"

You think they're bombing southern Lebanon for sport? They're trying to expand settlements there and have said so. You think they're bombing Syria for no reason? They want to expand all the way to Damascus and have said so. You have to understand that most of the proxies that attack Israel are in response to Israeli expansion. Hezbollah didn't just magically appear one day for no reason. Same with Hamas. Are they vile entities? Sure. Do they exist because of Israeli expansion? Yes. And since Iran funds these proxies that impede their expansion they're a natural enemy. But tell yourself it's all about scary Iran having a nuke and going after peaceful non aggressive Israel if you want. Israel is looking to expand their borders with the blood of their neighbors and plays the victim when there are very predictable consequences to those actions.

Israel does not have enough IDF personnel to have expansionist plans. The majority of IDF are reserves. If Israel occupies any area that is not next door (Gaza), then they would not have enough soldiers to defend Israel. The IDF and Israel is only concerned about defending Israel.

I'm not saying the ambitions are smart or practical. It's pretty much suicide. But the extremist party that rules Israel now does have those long term goals.
